Our Little Staycation

We were so lucky with the weather when we went down to Devon for a night with work.  Tuesday afternoon was a bit windy, however Wednesday morning was beautiful.  I do love England in the summer, some lovely places to visit.

All of the above were taken at Saunton, what a lovely beach and dog friendly too.  There is a nice little kiosk for snack type foods and a restaurant too.  The beach is lovely sand with nice dunes to play in however they were quite steep and Macy needed a hand down from her dad!  The sea was a little chilly so they all ran off from it!  Lol!
We always stop for breakfast at Beachcomber Cafe, Woolacombe.  You can sit out on the terrace overlooking the sands and the food is really good.  Mark who said no to another puppy  - I think she has won him round judging from the above photo at breakfast!

The wind wasn't as strong on the second day so Macy braved the sea and it wasn't as cold however she still didn't stay in there for long!  She and her dad love digging big holes and making massive sandcastles, the hole was so big that Macy and Kite could fit in it!  Kite actually helped to dig the hole too lol!  Woolacombe was a bit disappointing this year as the tractor had piled up lots of sand in front of the dunes and ruined it, they also have now stipulated dogs must be on lead for quite a distance which makes it a very long walk for a 3 year old.
